The terms below govern your use of the Hobbyholic app. Please read them carefully.
By downloading, installing, or using Hobbyholic ("the app"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree to these terms, please do not use the app.
Pera grants you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use Hobbyholic for your own personal, non-commercial purposes, subject to these terms and the Apple App Store Terms of Service.
Hobbyholic is free to download and use. The free version includes the full swipe quiz and all five taste results, browsing all 105 hobbies, and tracking one hobby at a time.
Premium is an auto-renewable subscription of €3.99 per month (or the equivalent in your local currency, as set by Apple), with a one-week free trial for accounts that have not used it before. It unlocks:
Payment is charged to your Apple Account at confirmation of purchase. The subscription renews automatically each month unless you cancel at least 24 hours before the end of the current period, and your account is charged for renewal within 24 hours of the period ending. You can manage or cancel it in Settings → Apple Account → Subscriptions; deleting the app does not cancel it. If you take the free trial, any unused portion is forfeited when you buy a subscription. You can restore an active subscription on your other Apple devices. Refunds are handled by Apple in accordance with the App Store Terms of Service.
You agree to use Hobbyholic only for lawful purposes. There is no tolerance for objectionable content or abusive behaviour here. You agree not to use the app to harass anybody, and specifically not to:
Your picks, tracked hobbies, mood entries, journal entries and kid-mode answers are created by you and stored on your device, and stay there unless you publish a particular entry. Pera does not access, store, or claim any rights over them.
Three things can be published, and only if you ask for them. Your profile: if you choose a handle, that handle and three summary numbers — sessions logged, current streak, achievements earned — go to a public database where anyone using the app can find them. A photo: if you share one from a session, it is published where anyone who knows your handle can see it, optionally tagged with the hobby you logged it under. A journal entry: if you publish one, the words you wrote are published to the same database, next to your handle, once they have been checked. You keep whatever rights you have in a photo you share or an entry you publish; you give us permission to store, check and display it inside the app for as long as you leave it up. Nothing else about you is published. See our Privacy Policy for the full detail.
Choosing a handle is optional and public. We may reset a handle that breaches the Acceptable Use rules above, or remove a profile entirely, without notice.
Sharing a photo is separately optional and also public. Publishing a journal entry is separately optional and also public. You must have told the app your date of birth, and be 13 or over, before you can share a photo, publish a journal entry, or set your profile to Public.
We enforce the rules above in three ways, and you agree to all of them:
If you think a photo or an entry of yours was refused wrongly, there is a Get in touch link on the message telling you, or email peraresearch1@gmail.com. A person reads those.
Taking a photo down is under the session you shared it from. It is a request that a service of ours carries out, usually within a few minutes rather than instantly — the same arrangement that stops anyone publishing one unchecked.
Taking a journal entry down is on the entry itself, and works the same way. Editing a published entry also takes it down, because we cannot change what someone is already reading; publish it again if you want the new version out there.
You can unfollow anyone at any time. You can also block someone, which hides them from your search results and your Following list; blocking is kept on your own device and the other person is not told.
If someone's handle is a problem, report it from the "…" menu on their card, or email us. Reports are read by a person — nothing is automated, and we do not promise any particular outcome.
You can delete your profile at any time in Settings → Account. That removes your handle, your numbers, your own follow records, any photo you have shared and any journal entry you have published; records other people created about you are theirs and are not ours to delete.
Hobbyholic relies on services provided by Apple and Unsplash — photos from Unsplash and Apple's WeatherKit, MapKit, and StoreKit, plus Sign in with Apple and Apple iCloud (CloudKit) if you choose to create a profile. If you share a photo or publish a journal entry, it is also checked by Sightengine, an automated content-classification service, and passes through Cloudflare, where the service that checks and publishes it runs. Your use of features that depend on these services is also subject to the terms and privacy policies of those providers. Photographs shown in the app are provided by Unsplash and its contributors, who are credited in the app.
Hobbyholic is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind. Hobby suggestions, cultural notes, weather information, and nearby places are provided for general interest and may not always be accurate, available, or suitable for you. Kid-mode ideas are suggestions for a parent or guardian to consider — you are responsible for supervising your child and judging whether an activity is safe and appropriate.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Pera shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the app.
We may update these Terms from time to time. Continued use of the app after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
These terms are governed by the laws of Finland.
